Rob Hart Drum Studio

Rob Hart is a consummate drummer/musician and teacher who has been instructing and performing professionally in the Bay Area since 1985. As a graduate of Berklee School of Music (Boston), he studied with jazz great Tony Williams, Mike Clark, Gary Chaffee, and Steve Smith. Some of his successful students include Kevin Coleman (Smash Mouth), and Troy Luckketta (Tesla). He has also performed with the Isley Brothers, Dave Mann (Antilles Records), CC Devill (Poison) and Kai Eckhardt (formerly with John McLaughlin, Billy Cobham, and Trilok Gurtu).

As a teacher Rob Hart instructs on all aspects of the musician including musicianship, hand and feet technique, applied polyrhythms, chart reading, rudiments, time development, transcribing, song forms, recording techniques, independence in all styles of music and improvisation; working with the student individually to establish and achieve their goals professionally or nonprofessionally.
